Baseball Dream

I had a dream last night, or this morning. Can't really remember. I'm finally feeling better after this horrible sinus infection, and so I've been letting myself sleep as much as I need to. Well, strike that. Alex has been letting me sleep as much as I need to.

As you may or may not know, baseball's spring training starts soon. I look at my baseball news sites multiple times a day (mainly to see if my favorite player Smoltz has signed with anyone yet, cause as of now, I don't have a favorite team). Justin2 has been hinting that we should buy a ticket package to the independent league baseball team here in town. Yay baseball!!

Anyway, back to the dream.

In this dream, I was at a game. I believe it was the Mariners at the MN Twins. I was sitting on the first base side, keeping score (the pic is the exact score book I use, and it was the same in my dream). My dad was there with me, to my right. During some point of the game, the people to the right of my dad asked me to hold their baby while they got up to get food or whatever. I turned to them and go, "I can't hold the baby now, I'm keeping score!!"

So then they found someone else to hold the baby, and I returned to my score keeping.

I remember thinking as I was recording the game events, "Is that a trade-off I should have made?"

  1. hmm...interesting. If we ever move back to Fargo, I'd be up for a baseball game with you. I can't say I'll quite get the game like you do, but I'm all for checking out some hunky baseball players ; )
