From My Comfy Couch

First of all, stay tuned for the official transition to "The Mud and the Lotus" from "Don't Scare Easy." There may just be a giveaway involved...

Today hasn't been too bad. Last night's blog entry helped me get out some emotions, and I was finally able to cry a little bit. Mostly crying out of frustration. It was good to get out. I slept really well, Alex was beside me all night, like usual.

Today I organized my area around the couch, got the meds and remotes and everything else I need in easy reach so I don't have to move much. I was upset that I needed to order pizza for lunch, because I don't have easy to prepare food yet, but Bill reminded me that I need to do what I need to do now. My bro will be helping me get to the grocery store hopefully tomorrow so I can pick up things to easily nom.

Justin2, the bf, has a dart tournament today, but we were able to chat via webcam for a while. It was a lot of fun. Wish I was there with him, but oh well. Maybe I can get out this week for a bit and throw.

It was really nice out today for Alex, must have been around 30 degrees. She went out frequently and found nice sunny spots to power her solar cells (we all know that kitties have them). We can't wait for spring when we can go out and garden again!

Then it was nap time for us both. I heated up my EndoFEMM, put in Star Trek III again (we fell asleep to it the other day), and we slept for a couple hours. When we woke up, it was supper (pizza for me, wet nomz for her), and now we're watching "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." Well, I'm watching/drooling over Lupin, and she's asleep on my lap.

So that's been my day. I will admit that spending time with Alex is great, and so is chatting with all my friends online (even online shoe shopping with Sara, lol!). I'm even finding new blogs to read! Since I acknowledged that yeah this sucks, it is easier to find the good that is coming out of this.

Btw, she's amazing, my kitty girl. She knows I'm hurting. She's spent a lot of time on my lap, and massaging/kneading my tummy area. When I need her, she's here. I don't know what I'd do without her. She's the bestest.

Does your pet(s) take care of you when you're sick/not feeling well/feeling down?

  2. My animals always know when I'm not feeling well. They can be a huge source of comfort. I hope you get some relief soon.

  3. What a great kitty girl you have! I have two cats and two dogs. It's my oldest cat that is so much more intune with me than the other three. If I'm sick he'll sleep next to me for however long he needs to.

  4. Alex is such an amazing little kitty. Unfortunately my cat isn't as intuitive about what I'm going through. Sometimes when I'm crying, Zoey will look at me all puzzled, and then goes for a nap!?!!! I wish Zoey would learn a thing or two from Alex! Hope you're feeling better! Luv, Z

  5. Oooh la la! *wink*

Also - note to self - Star Trek III is good to nap to, but not much else. LMAO! J/K ... but two naps to it in a row? :P

In answer to your question Mischief is very good about taking care of me when I'm not feeling well... most of the time! Either he or Johnny are generally on duty! :)
