Welcome to "The Mud and the Lotus!" Formally known as "Don't Scare Easy."
I decided to switch to the lotus theme, since it means so much to me, coming to represent my endo/adeno/hyst struggle (the mud) and what I am today (the lotus).
To celebrate my new domain name, I'm having a giveaway!
*the peasants rejoice*
On my "Blog/Links/Resources" page, I have a list of books. The fabulous lucky winner gets to choose one of the books I have listed there as their prize!
All you have to do to enter is leave me a comment on this post!
1 comment per person, please. The comment can be about anything: books, how awesome Alex is, your favorite video game, what color pen do you prefer, your favorite drink, what's the first thing you'll do once spring arrives, if I stole all your left shoes what would you do, anything at all.
Contest will end Sunday, March 7th, at 10:00 pm central time!
Let the random comments begin!
Okay, since you are making me enter I will. This is my entry. ;-)
ReplyDeleteJodi Picoult rocks, Alex Rocks, My fave video game is Oblivion, I prefer pink ink pens, my fave drink is a dirty vodka martini, the first thing come spring I am doing is going for a long walk (hopefully pain-free), and if you stole all my left shoes you would be in a pickle cause you can't walk in heels!
ReplyDeleteOne of these days I'm kidnapping you and having you come visit us.... or can you visiting be my prize instead of a book? LOL :P
ReplyDeleteOhhh I loveee books! Just finished The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, kind of odd.

ReplyDeleteok, so i am fascinated [in that gross sort of way, to distinguish it from the kind when you look up at the stars and admire their twinkle or look at a charming puppy and think how cool it is that he is alive but at the same time he is alive in such a different way than we are and it makes you count the different ways that something can be alive or how good chocolate really is] by the random things the human body is capable of 'growing' ... you know, like snot in your nose, or stinky feet smells, or stinky underarms or ear wax. you can clean all of those things up, but they still manage to come back. it's like we are our own weird gardens. sort of. kind of. very random thought. it's monday march 1 ... maybe this is true march madness!!!!!

Hello, I found you through the LFCA. Nice to meet you. I love the new name of you blog. I kinda wish I could steal it but that would be both wrong and confusing. :) I read you post about staying in the current moment and I agree that (while I am a fan of being present in this moment) sometimes we need to focus on a more happy future we are planning for ourselves or on some sort of escapist entertainment (be that books or trashy tv). I am sending you so much strength and hope you find your pain-free zone soon.
ReplyDeletealright heres my entry :) The first thing I'll do in spring? Think really hard about planting flowers then cry when my mother does it and I can't help. blah.. today sucks...
ReplyDeleteI happen to prefer my pens in red actually. I think it allows me to feel powerful in my less than powerful state. Go brief superiority complex!! Wooo
ReplyDeleteHm my favorite color of pen is blue, but I'm brand specific. I like the Tul ones that are sold at Office Depot. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd, Alex is awesome (like my big kitty Carter). =)
Shave the cat!
ReplyDeleteIf you stole all of my left shoes I would finally have a REAL excuse for being a house-bum!
ReplyDeleteAlex is totally aweseome and I love how much joy she brings you. I'm a total cat person and I can relate.
