Yeah, my sinuses are misbehaving again. My breathing is fine, it's just this horrible face and head pain. Like 8-9 on the 1-10 scale. The only way my head/face doesn't hurt too terribly bad is if I lay perfectly still in bed. So if I wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, it'll take me an hour to fall back asleep cause my head will be pounding again. Which kinda sucks, because I need to stay uber hydrated.
We think it might be because of the weather. Temps plummeted to around 0 again during the day. Normally the nose has some kind of filter/gill system that helps regulate air temps when you breathe, so it's not so brutal when you breathe, but in the course of 3 sinus surgeries, my little gill things are gone, so it makes me really susceptible to cold, brutal air. I've been working with Erica to come up with new winter neck/face attire that will help (scarves were not working anymore, and she used to hunt during the winter, so hopefully once I'm better I can try my new neck/face fleece warmer out).
I missed work yesterday (Tues), and Matt told me to stay home the rest of the week. I'm really not complaining.
Doctor called me in another round of antibiotics and steroids, and I see him on the 25th. Which is Alex's birthday, btw. She's gonna be 6!
I came to the conclusion that I'm never going to be free of my heating pad. It really helps my head.
Boyfriend Justin said that my sinus problems don't bother him; that he'll just have to buy me more kleenex. (Insert the "awwwwwwwwwwww" here.)

Ok... my headache is nasty again today (missed meds, will explain later) and I really can't think too well (scary, since I have to go to the pharmacy for a couple minutes, luckily it's not far).... but I wanted to say to check out Turtlefur ..... they won't be enough on their own, but maybe combined with something else you can get some good face attire to help! ... look on amazon.. for some reason I can't put a link in here... I'll send it over facebook I guess....

It sound like you have been through the ringer. I hated using a neti pot but now I use Navage which is a hand held device that lets me wash my nasal passages. Crazy but it totally works. I have not had a sinus infection or sinus headache in 4 months.
