This Sucks

Last night my side pain was horrible. I even had to get out old reliable, my Endo Femm.

So this morning I called my gyn's office again. The nurse got back to me soon after I got to work, and told me that I should either get to the ER or Walk In Clinic to make sure it wasn't a cyst or something, since my pain is getting worse and ibuprofen isn't helping anymore.

I head to the walk in clinic, and the doctor looks at my chart and goes "Well, we don't have to worry about you being pregnant."

Then we talk about my symptoms and then a nurse comes and and he does the pelvic exam. It's so funny how they fuss over me and make sure I'm ok during the exam. I tell them "you have no idea how many of these things I've had to endure." OMG it hurts when he touches my left ovary.

So he suspects a cyst, and gets me in for an ultrasound.

Cue the room with pictures of developing babies.

After the tech is done with the ultrasound, she says my ovaries are totally normal, no cysts, no free fluid, nothing. Sends me back to the doctor.

Meet with the doctor again. He sits down, looks at me, and says it's probably adhesions. Scar tissue. Like saran warp. He says it's normal that the pain will come out of the blue, and perhaps it will also disappear randomly too. Otherwise, he said the "s" word might be an option. S word being surgery.

He's running another urine test and some blood work, but yeah, he suspects adhesions. Gave me a prescription for pain meds, and will call me later with the result of the said lab work. And I just got the call, all normal.

Just a little update on the pain front. I'm keeping it together because I have an ENT appt in an hour.
