St. Patrick's day was a blast.
After I cleaned my car out, my dad wanted to meet my brother and I for a drink. They had green Bud Lite, and I had a gin and tonic (with a slice of lime, to make it green). After my dad left, my bro bought us both Chuck Norris shots. Oh those are good.
Note: I did NOT slip and fall on my ass because of the drinks. I slipped because my brother parked too close to a snow/ice bank and as I was trying to walk on it, I slipped and fell.
Then I came home, waited til the buzz of the drinks wore off, I headed over to my boyfriend's for supper. He made spaghetti. We watched some Doctor Who, were silly and demented, had a Milk Dud fight, and then went to his bar to pick up last minute entries in the March Madness pool he and a friend runs. While we were there, we played darts, he had a beer, and I had a Shirley Temple.
We went back to his place, and went to bed. He fell asleep, and I laid there awake. I was in a lot of pain; evidently I did way too much during the day. I kept waking him up so around 3 am I left to go back to my place (would have left at 2 but that's when the bars close).
I didn't get to sleep til almost 7 am.
So tired of things taking so much out of me and causing me so much pain. I hated having to leave to make sure at least one of us gets a decent night's sleep. He told me next time not to leave, that he would rather cuddle me even if it disturbs his sleep a bit.
Yeah that's frustrating to be in pain like that (and not have a real reason as to why unless I missed that post).
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a good guy there. :)
And shh, I didn't drink at all on St. Patty's Day. I have no idea how I got away with that lol.
I used to slip on things too when I went out on St. Patrick's Day!
ReplyDeleteI did nothing....and I'm truly Irish. Sad. I didn't even wear green.
Next year huh?
