A Story

Let me tell you a story.

After lovemaking, they laid next to each other on the bed. His left hand was in hers, and his right hand was on hers, which was on her abdomen. They were both hoping for the same thing. She could hardly hold back the tears. She wondered if she would be getting good news from the doctor at an upcoming appointment.

Now let me tell you the same story, only with more details.

After lovemaking, Sonja and her boyfriend laid next to each other on the bed. His left hand was in hers, giving her something to focus on instead of the pain. His right hand was on hers, which was on her abdomen, over the horrible pain she was feeling around her left ovary area. They were both hoping for the same thing, for the pain to go away. She could hardly hold back the tears, because it hurt so bad. She wondered if she would be getting good news from the doctors, that the cause of her pain could be easily identified and a treatment found.
