I've been blogging a lot lately about what isn't going so well. Time to mix it up a bit.
It's time for a post about what I'm grateful for!
-Alex. 'Nuff said.
-Justin2. He makes me laugh even when I don't want to. We spent the weekend playing Mario on Wii, being silly and demented, snuggling, and having supper with his family. He let me sleep in Sunday morning, and woke me up to chocolate pancakes.
-My parents. Making sure I know they're always there for me.
-My internet friends. One thing good about being stuck at home is that I've been able to really catch up with my endo sisters. It's been a lot of fun talking with them, sharing furbaby stories, and bitching about pain. Also, the support they offer? Pretty awesome.
-My real life friends. They'll call me out when I'm sulking or freaking out about things I can't control. They support me. They understand if I can't hang out or make it to work.
-Books. Yay books!
-Times during the day that aren't too painful. It's beautiful.
-Even tho it looks like we're gonna get a lot of flooding again soon, it's amazing to watch the cities and residents come together and fight the flood together.
-Spring training baseball is back on tv!
-How excited Justin2's brothers' dog gets when I give her the treats I bought her.
-I have an eye appt on Thursday. I cannot wait for an updated pair of glasses. I heart my contacts but sometimes you just want to wear glasses.
-Stomping around in the mud. How it flies up and gets all over. The sound it makes. The sign spring is around the corner.
-Realizing I have enough money to buy Alex food tomorrow without having to ask my parents.
-Cheese, bacon, and potatoes.
-Curling up on the couch with Alex and fleece blankets.
Things haven't been the greatest for me lately, but they're not horrible either. Sometimes, we just need to sit down and make a list of the good things in life without the "buts" and "howevers."
Enjoy the moment.
Hooray for internet friends! :)
