Target Field

My parents and I went to the exhibition game Friday night between the St Louis Cardinals and the MN Twins. This was the first Twins game in their new stadium, Target Field. It was almost 60 degrees, a light breeze, and I'm definitely sold on outdoor baseball in MN. Cardinals won 8-4, great game. Pitching, offense, defense, food, keeping score...great time. Waaaaaay better than the Metrodome. You have no idea the improvement.

We had 7th row seats, first base side. Cushy seats. Our section had it's own consession area and restroom area. Seriously, I had never been in and out of a bathroom so fast in any stadium. Food service was pretty slow, the vendors need to learn to GET OUT OF THE FREAKING WAY when there are plays going on, but otherwise we were very impressed.
Here are some pics!

  1. Looks like you had a great time!!

Adam took off from work today to enjoy the opening day of baseball. He has just been watching from home all day, but he would much rather have been in a stadium. These pictures would have him drooling. :)

  2. Wow, what great seats! Today the Chicago Cubs played their first game. They lost big time. The Cardinals are one of Chicago's biggest rivals, if they are winning already we are in trouble!
